Re: Number of conductors per duct

As long as it doesn't interfere with the motion of the pistons, or plug the intake. It would really depend on how you were putting in.

If that seems odd, try the tables in the back of the NEC. ;)

Re: Number of conductors per duct

I can't imagine why you would want to. Are you sure you are not confusing "ground" (i.e., equipment grounding conductor, or EGC) with "grounded" (i.e., neutral)? If the phase conductor and the neutral are both 2/0, I strongly suspect that the EGC will not have to be that large.

Your profile says you are a retired EE. If you are doing side work in electrical design during your retirement, then perhaps we can assist. But if this is related to electrical installation work that you intend to perform, then we cannot.

Please let me invite your attention to the following statement on the home page of this Forum:
This NEC? Forum is for those in the electrical and related industries. Questions of a "How-To" nature by persons not involved in the electrical industry will be removed without notice.
I am going to place this thread on a "temporary hold." If you would like to send me a Private Message (look at the FAQs, if you don't know how), and explain what you have in mind, and if you convince me that you are not a Do-It-Yourself person, then perhaps I will be able to reopen this thread.
