Our company is machine builder. We are planning to use cable tray system in our designs. We do not have much experience with cable trays and trying to learn.
We have downloaded Cable Tray Manual from Eaton web site (attached).
There is picture on page 44 of this manual:
In our designs we are using multiconductor 600V tray rated power and control cables. Are these cables allowed to be placed on cable tray in several layers?
Is de-rating of the cables required, and how to determine de-rating factor, if several layers of cables on cable tray are acceptable?
