If you have the required amount of time to take the masters test and pass then you should be able to hold a license and, depending on his policy, work under your bosses insurance. He may have to change a few things on his policy including adding you as additionally insured which may result in raising his premium but it is possible. I am licensed and work under my company's insurance in Westchester County, NY

Are you saying that you have an active Westchester license and your bosse's insurance covers your license?

Yeah, We had a battle with the ins. co. but the policy was able to be written covering an employee of the co. as additionally insured. No problem getting the license. Wait, maybe because recip. from Putnam Co. Anyway, we assumed that there must be plenty of guys who are licensed working for companies and are covered under the companies ins. Take a company such as New Rochelle School District. They employ a licensed electrician and I'm sure he works under the schools ins. policy. I doubt he pays for his own ins. policy.
