NYC ME Test

Hello everyone, I am looking for info on preparing for the NYC ME written test. I hold a Suffolk Co. NY ME license and am going to be prepping in my spare time, as I cant commit to classroom courses due to my schedule. Anyone have any advice/suggestions on study guides/self prep? I have searched the forums looking for info but did not turn up much stuff. If there is a particular study guide someone can reccomend on this site, that would be great.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

If you can't go to the same guy you studied for Suffolk. Go to NYC's web and check out the 2005 NEC Amendments, but keep inmind this summer NYC goes to the 2008 and the Amendments are NOT out yet. Their are 269 Amendments.

Thanks for the heads up on the amendments. As far as the guy in Suffolk, there wasn't one. I studied the Code book and Handbook and used Mike Holt work books for practice tests. I don't have time to enroll in a course and am looking for specific study aids for NYC as they have alot of their own amendments as you have mentioned.:D

As I said above 269 Amendments. If you can pass Suffolk, read the attachment and I'm sure you will do fine. I took this test almost 20 years ago. It has changed abit. Good Luck
