o.c.p.d . location

I'm on a job that has 3 floors and a basement. Each floor has 3-4 electrical rms on them.In there you have high voltage panel, trans., low voltage panel's, and of course emerg. panels. The high volt panels are M.L.O. Meaning the only breaker is down in the basement for any high volt panel. Now i thought that after so far or after another floor each panel had to have a o.c. device for it and i haven't found out where in the NEC that this would be right. can anyone point me in the right direction.

I agree. It's not a problem at all. I frequently use this design concept.
