Obtaining a Low Voltage License in Florida?

Hey,

I'm originally from Massachusetts and just moved on down to Florida to get my degree in Film Production. While I'm down here I'm interested in doing Low-Voltage Telecom for Homes and "maybe" small offices. I'm unsure exactly how to go about this down here and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what's required.

Is it feasible for someone to do it on their own? The issue I have with applying to a contractor or what have you that does it down here is the schedule changes constantly as my classes change monthly. So it's something I'm looking to do on the side to make a bit of extra money and it's something I enjoy doing.

So to recap:

Is a Low Voltage Required In Florida? (I'm pretty sure it is)
If so how do I obtain a Low Voltage License?
Is it feasible to do on a "on the side" basis?

Check around with some of the residental alarm and audio companies. I have only worked around a couple and one I only saw once, the other wired nearly thirty houses before I met him. I would go to work in the morning and their spagetti would be all over the rafters but I nevere saw them. They had to come in after 5:30 p.m. or get there and leave before I got there at 7:00 a.m.

Alright Thanks I'll look into the Florida web-site and see if I can contact a few different people. It might be something too complicated to get into as a side-job type of thing it seems with insurance and all. But I'm defiantly interested in going after it.
