The ceiling os may have specs on how far they can sense so there is one place to look..Id think if they can pick up movement from one end to the other then it might not matter. From all entrances.

There are regular questions here on the use of nm for multiple story bldg s ,,,,if you dont mind,,,and if you were working on the wiring.
What was the method emt , mc, nm flex?
