I've got a off delay timer to install on a mag starter . it is a icecube style with 11 pin base. For the life of me I cannot understand the provided drawing.Does anybody have fisthand knowlegde on these. Do I need a aux contact on the starter?

Re: off delay timer on starter

The off switch should have a normally open and normally closed contacts. Use the normally open contacts to start the timer. When the timer completes a cycle the start conductor is energized.
I will try and learn how to post drawings.

Re: off delay timer on starter

An off-delay timer actuates its contacts instantly when enabled, and "changes them back" at a timed interval after it is reset (coil is de-energized).

What do you want the timed contacts to control?
Here is a typical timing chart.
