Hello all. Can an offset nipple such as the one pictured be used on rigid metal conduit? This premade offset is listed as rigid but I am not sure if it is acceptable to attach to pipe and then to the box... Here is what I need to do: I have 2" galvanized rigid conduit going to a panelboard. The problem is that I need an offset of about an inch. Unfortunately, my Greenlee 880 bender only allows for a minimum
offset of 6 inches for 2" GRC... What do you guys think?

Forget about the nipple. Would have looked like crap either way. Ill find and mark the 5 degree mark on my bender and take it from there. My spacing is right around 11-7/16". That should suffice.

I've seen this done many times on 200 amp services but actually it is not permitted due to the listings of the components being used together.

Thank ypu Infinity. I knew there was something fishy about that nipple from the beginning. You are right. It is listed for box to box installations. The threads do not fall deep enough into the coupling as threaded heavywall does. Thank you.
