In between jobs and was handed this today. 3 LED pool lights and 2 controlers. Here is a pic and link. Anybody install these? Nothing in the
install instructions or on web-site about this being a listed transformer. Called tech support and they said:

Oh yeah, there desinged for pools.

No UL listing. I'm thinking I have issues with 680.23(A)(2).

What do you think? They are 12V LED's.

Chris they are ETL approved so they are listed.

Thanks Dennis, they are listed. If I remember correctly that tranny should be labled for use with pools and spas. I don't sse that.

Here it is.

(2) Transformers. Transformers used for the supply of underwater luminaires, together with the transformer enclosure, shall be listed as a swimming pool and spa transformer. The transformer shall be an isolated winding type with an ungrounded secondary that has a grounded metal barrier between the primary and secondary windings.

I don't see anywhere in 680.23(A)(2) that says the transformer should be label. It must be listed for pools and I believe it is simply through the info on the page. It is called a pool light and is listed by ETL-- I wouldn't worry about it.
