So this was listed http://westernmass.craigslist.org/sks/642721261.html
I emailed him and asked him why would he be putting an ad out like that when he wasn't even licensed or insured and this was his response to me


I am guessing you are an electrician??? Well i am actually a doctor...i just do your mediocre trade on the side with NO schooling, a monkey can do your job so i am actually not proud to say that i can do electrical work


I went onto the massachusetts license website and if he is a "Doctor" very odd he is not listed as having a license haha.

you know, i think that's the attitude a lot of our, or at least my, residential customers have. from a technical aspect, it is the easiest part of the trade. but we had to go through extensive training covering all types of work to get our licenses. Sit that guy down at a master's test and i'm sure that'd embarrass him enough to change his tune.

I don't need a doctor to tell me I have a cold, but I need them to get the prescription meds. And I know they went through years of school just to tell me I have a cold, but the doc can also see things we have no clue about and warn us before the real trouble starts. Its the same way w/ us.

being a doctor is easy. i knew i had a broken leg the second i seen my leg bent in half at the shin. i didnt need a doctor to tell me that! a monkey could figure out that

Most doctors and surgeons are not very different from tradesman themselves. Escecially surgeons.They diagonse and try to fix problems like we do. And with varieing degress of suscess if I might add. That doctor mentioned in the post might be able to perform some basic electrical work just like many of us know how to treat some basic first aid or heat exhaustion or take care of a cold or a sprained ankle stuff like that but show that stuck up jerk a allen bradley plc or how to do a basic service calc or wire a stop start or motor control center and I bet he would think twice about it. My wife works in a hospital as a nurse and she tells me most begining doctors are morons when they first start out themselves. You wouldnt beileve some of the bone head crap these people do themselves.

i would have loved to see that post as well...most of the doctors i know don't have their heads that far up their you-know-what....;)
