Having a brain spasm. I know that watts divided by voltage will give you amps. But iI was thinking about the 3 phase,. For example 2400 watts divided by 480. 2400/480v =5amp. Is this correct or do I need to multiply the 1.73 somewhere??

2400/480/1.73=2.9 amps

You save the multiplying for going the other direction.

A 200 amp 120/240 single phase service can supply 48 KW

200*240=48,000 watts

A 200 amp 208Y/120 three phase service can supply 72KW

200*208*1.73=71,968 watts
