Need some tips and/or suggestions. At the company I work at we are venturing into the grounding world of the oilfield. Basically grounding Frac tanks, rigs, light plants and pretty much everything else. We need to find a simple meter that will test earth ground resistance. Need suggestions. As of right now I am looking at the Extech 382252 it seems to have good reviews and be fairly simple to use. Simplicity is important due to having to train hands to drive a ground rod then being able to test it to ensure a good ground. I do have electrica background as in residential and commercial but actually testing earth grounds is fairly new to me. Any help is greatly appreciated.[h=1][/h]

I dont have any knowledge on those type meters,, but if you dont mind out of curiosity does all the things you are grounding get a ground rod or do they all connect in a way that becomes a ges with a ground rod at the service and it seems like the slab for the tanks could have a cee?

Out of curiosity, what do you need to test and what are the goals? Has some authority spec'd a certain ground resistance value?
