I'm doing a remodel on a shower stall and have the walls stripped to studs. One of the shower walls is common with an exterior main service panel. It is mounted outside on top of the 1/2 sheathing/siding. In the shower area between the stud walls is a short 2 inch pipe from the backside of the main panel where all the romex passes out and to the house. Should I be concerned about closing the walls back up without doing anything with the romex? Is this typical for Main service or romex to run inside shower walls?
THanks

This is an existing condition and was a somewhat common practice (depending on where this was done) in the past, I wouldn't worry about it if there was no more access to this before you opened up the wall.

If you are concerned because there is romex in the wall of the shower with a panel box on the exterior, then don't fret. Inside the wall is safe from the shower and will not cause a shock hazard.

Roger already mentioned the cables entering the panel. Though not quite up to snuff it is done that way very often. I am not sure there is a better way to get the wires into an exterior panel. I would fill the 2" pipe with some insulation or duct seal just to keep air from travel thru.

Edit name-- sorry Roger

Maybe you don't need one in AZ

Heh heh...I have installed miles of PVC and never even HEARD of an expansion fitting until I started reading message boards.

I've still never seen one.

I probably need one here too huh? 500' of 1"?
