I just thought this might be interesting.one of my sons gave me a Christmas present of an original 1947 NEC book.He found it at a book sale somewhere. It is in mint condition,(pages a little yellow) States in the front that it supersedes the 1940 edition of the NEC.
I truly enjoy the code forum and all you fellows comments and knowledge.I have been in the trade since Jan. 1957 and I'm still learning.I am semi retired now.I don't post much,I learned a long time ago that I learn more if I keep my mouth shut.Keep up the good work

Re: Old Code Book

Mr Parsons:

Nice gift, I just purchased a 1968, 1962 and 1959 NEC the 1965 edition was not available, trying to get the NEC back to my date of birth or more if possible. I enjoy reading the older books and find the size's interesting. CHANGE, CHANGE, CHAANGE..................

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Re: Old Code Book

I believe I have seen code books back to the '20's advertised on Ebay (or maybe it was Amazon.com) for a few bucks. You may want to check it out.
