Old GE Busway

This is a piece of busway I have no experience with. There is a sticker that says 3 wire 3 phase 4000amp. This to me looks like 2 separate 4000 amp busways which would be odd, or from someone’s experience does the 2 pieces equate to parallel runs with a 4000 amp capacity total.

Thank you for educating me. It was just odd only one side had the sticker. It appears to 3 wire no neutral and busway as ground.

I agree two parallel sections of bus bars connected together. Still made that way to this day.

It is kind of rare to see 4w loads fed by busway.

I intended to say 4w plug-in busways were rare.

Service entrance feeder busways are probably mostly 4w.
