I haven't yet purchased my 05'code & would like a quick run-down of the requirements I need to meet.As well as replacing all duplex receptacles with GFCIs {they're all atleast 12' from the inside wall of the pool},I have some concerns about the heater & pump.
Is a separate disconnect required for the heater & the pump? Currently they are both wired direct from the main panel which is about 60'away.
There is a timer for the pump {it looks like some receptacles or lights may be connected to it also}.Am I correct to assume no other devices should be on the timer?
I found two ends of #8 str. {bonding???} one coming from the pump the other from the heater. They look as though they had been spliced together at some point.Should they be run continous? Thanks in advance for any help.

Has your area adopted the 2005 yet? If not, there are some items that have changed from 2002 to 2005 in article 680 that (in certain situations) would make a 2005 installation illegal for users of the 2002.

If you're under the 2005, you need to go buy one. :D

Good point,I didn't look at it like that. The township the house is in may still be using the 99' code.I'll look into it thanks.I may just bring the receptacles up to code & replace the timer.
