This Onan is for auction (starting at 500) A customer with a ranch is interested. He asked my opinion, but I don't have too much of it. Any opinions?

It is hard to say with just these pics..

I would say imposable to say from the pics.

  • Does it have an hour-meter?
  • Does it start?
  • Does it run?
  • Does it smoke
  • Does it produce a steady voltage?
  • Does it maintain steady frequency?
  • Have you pulled a valve cover off to look for signs of sludge indicating poor maintenance?
  • Checked the coolant condition?
  • Has the factory wiring been all hacked up or does it look original?

If all of the above looked good I would want to run it with 80% to 100% load for about an hour to verify it was in good working order.

Bob you are correct it is hard to ascertain whether I am correct from 3 pics..yet the paint on top of the muffler is rusted off and it is in very good condition on the bottom..I have ran enough equipment to tell what a used muffler should look like..I say it is worth investigating..no bid site unseen..must take a look at it..

You will not be able to pull valve cover until you buy it.. maintenance probably as good as you get on that type of equipment..everything else you should be able to do..hour meter should be listed in auction info..

Thanks Paul, I will give the information to my customer. Any taker for the equipment below? Maybe you need to buy the airplane first!

ONLY $270.00

Tulsa cart is basically a power splitter. Plug in 60 cycle, 480 volt, 200 amp service and the cart will give the user the ability to attach many different pieces of ground support equipment that has the same 3 phase 480 volt requirements, (From 30 amp up to 200 amp service). Also the mast on the carts give the users the ability to provide light to an area. The masts I believe will go up to 20 feet. MIN PRICE IS EACH UNIT. PRIORITY WIll BE GIVEN TO
THE BIDDER THAT BIDS ON ALL.
