Is it legal to have one disconnect for two machines? It is #10AWG copper fed from a 30 amp breaker, The two machines running current is very low (12A for both) with a spike here and there. Where would I look to find more information on this situation? Any insight is appreciated.

There is generally no requirement that anything have an individual disconnecting means. Just that it have a disconnecting means.

Some of the rules that apply to the disconnecting means for certain things make it practical to have an individual disconnecting means, but it is not a requirement. For instance, I think if you could meet the "in sight" and other requirements with the service disconnect it could serve as the disconnecting means for all your motors in your plant. Not real practical, but it would appear to meet code.
