Nomad,
Need a couple things,
Size of main service feeding this existing gutterbox.
Is there a ct cabinet also? and metering?
As i see it ,your new 400 amp switch fused at 320 will be feeding what?
Perhaps a 40 circuit- 3 phase- 120/208 volt 400 amp panel?
Also what is coming from this new distribution panel, maybe a panel schedule will help if you have.
I just want to know all the pieces of the puzzle so i don't mis-inform you with a diagram.

I use an old architectual program that does one line diagrams, also has a newer one called smart draw, They have some one line diagrams already done for you. All you must do is change some figures.

ground rods? no CEE?
Older existing building, all brick, no access to CEE (if there is even rebar at all), new all-plastic plumbing, connection to fire-sprinkler system not permitted.

Ground rods. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, we only need a single rod, of which there already is one. 2002 NEC, by the way.

The service from the existing gutter box comes straight from the light company's transfomer 12470 v primary and 120/208 three phase secondary, each tranformers is rated at 50 kva, out of the gutter box there no CT can and there will only be 1 meter socket @ 320 amp and then there will be a 400 disconnet fused at 320 amps which will be feeding 2 ea. 200 amp load centers. No panel schedule Im still trying to wing that one :).

Larry, what program is that?
Patricia (my better third) did these drawings from scratch with Paint Shop Pro. Want to see more, like the rear elevation, panels scehdules, etc?
