I am installing 2 new 100 amp meter/mains on a house. One box is replacing the existing FPE service from the 1940's, while the other is strictly for agricultural use. The existing panel has residential AND agricultural loads feeding from it. So I am separating the load currently feeding the agricultural use from the FPE house meter. There will still only be one service from the utility company to the building, but two separate meters.
Do I need 2 separate ground rods or can I use one ground rod with two GEC's? The panels are being set side by side.
