Hi Dears, I have a Disconnect switch of 400A that feed two panels of 200A each one, for these panels is necessary individual protection of 200 MCB? According to 408.36? Tks.

Tap rules (240.21) apply. Assuming you'll have a 200A feeder to each panel, the panels should be within 25' of the 400A switch. Otherwise, you would need the OCP to be ahead of the panel and the MCB would be redundant.

I don't understad the reason for your post. You seem to be answering your own question. Each panel in the exhibits has OCP n ot exceeding the panel rating.

My apologies dear, but when you answer my question, "for these panels is necessary individual protection of 200 MCB?" you said yes.
