When is it required by 70e to have two qualified workers or two electricians to be together doing an electricial job? I know we have to be safe but there are times people are sent on work by themselves.
Is it differrent for QW or electrician or are the rules the same for both? When it comes to electrical work there is a big difference between the electricians and the QW. Some of the QW think they are a electician now .

Qualified workers and electricians are not mutually exclusive, nor automatically inclusive. What kind of "electrical job" would you have a non-electrician perform?

Most think they can do any electric work ,Right now they are disconnecting and connecting 3 phase motors . Trying to troubleshoot electrical problems with motor control and usually not sucessfull. Replacing 277volt ballast,replacing small vfd . They makesure power is off and remove and replace with same part. There was never any training besides classroom training .they were showed how use a voltage tester.

Only requirement like that you will find is in OSHA for systems >600V

Your facility needs to look at the 70E training requirements, some classroom training and showing them how to use a meter not not make them a QP.

I normally work alone, but when I'm around "Stuff" over 240v or I if am not familiar with someones elses "dubious" prevoius work. I like to have a "warm-body" around who knows where the OFF button is . Two men one a simple project is not required -BUT- is good practice
