I was wondering if anyone can advise me if this is a good training course. It's www.MiraCosta-gbc.com It's $1800 total. They send you a CD Logic's Pro software. Based on Alan Bradly PLC's. Then there's like sixteen 90 minute tests online you take. Then you get a certificate of completion. If I remember correct. Thank you for your help.

If your planning on spending $1800 I would just buy a PLC and the software.RSLogix 500 costs about $1200 and a Micrologix PLC will run about $500.Buy a book called PLC Tutorial by Stephen Tubbs.This book is excellent for the beginner.Visit plctalk.net when you have questions and you will be a pro in no time at all.
I think this would be a better long term investment than the online course.

Almost all PLC manufacturers offer free or low cost training on their equipment. I would check with them first.
Have a look here. It is based on AB but you should be able to learn something from Ron's videos.
