I have some large bolts to torque on a transformer and due to space limitations I need to use an open end crows foot on the wrench. Does anyone have an idea how you would adjust the calibration of the wrench when using one of these? I was thinking of using it on an existing bolt and keep adjusting until the wrench no longer clicked and began to turn the nut but I was wondering if there was a more accurate method.

For fun check your spec. +- torque, torque to x-xx ft/lbs. then add the tools +- and see how it works with the number the formula gives.
I went round and round on a job over this until I showed for my application it didn't matter how I used the wrench, then QC had to go to a meeting suddenly.

It's very close if the crow's foot is positioned at 90 degrees to the wrench.

exactly.

inline with wrench extends the "ft" part throwing off the torq.

leave it at 90 degree, torq away, done, next job.
