Open Raceway- Bonding

We are running cable tray as our trunk line then branching off with aluminum rigid conduit. At some points we will use a conduit to cable tray adapter (which bonds the raceway), and some points we will not use the adapter and have the cable drop straight into the raceway. My question is, do both ends of the raceway have to be bonded or only one end? Where is this referenced in the NEC? I think I am looking past it.... thanks for the help!

250.96 Bonding Other Enclosures, covers the conditions under which a non-service cable tray needs to be bonded. Since the RMC terminates at the cable tray the cable tray is being used as an EGC and requires bonding. Your listed connectors may provide the required bonding.
