In the example there is only a load on leg of the system. The line voltage will run through the load to the grounded conductor. In this example, the author is assuming a 25 ohm grounding electrode resistance and a 25 ohm load making the voltage on the neutral 60 volts. This neutral voltage will be transferred to every conductive object that is connected to the electrical grounding system via the main bonding jumper. With different commbintations of loads and grounding electrodes this voltage will differ. It could approach the normal line to neutral voltage.
