In an operating room in ahospital is it allowed to use hcf cable (ac)for receptables that are powered from the normal power panel not the ermengency panel.these outletswill be used for floor mainteance machinery.or does article 517 30 (3) 1 MECHANCIAL PROTECTION would this disallow the use of hcf cable since this cable is aflexable type cable. must the operating room outlets be fed strictly from the emergency panel or a combination of both .site code article

I take it this operating room is not using Isolated Power Systems, is this correct?

the operating is not using a isolated power system .

Then the HCFC is fine for the normal power source. The critical devices will need to be in hard pipe unless 517.30(C)(3)(3)c. is applicable.
