I have a situation where I have 2 panel boards, A & B. In effect this is a 84 circiut panel, they both have main lugs, "A" has double lugs that feed "B". I would like to replace the old panel board "B" with a new panel board so I can install GFCI breakers. (The existing panels are very old) Niether A or B panel currently has a MCB. They are fed from a 125amp main switch. If I replace panel B would there be any issues with adding a 125 amp MCB or even a disconnect to isolate the panel busbar? We have a very strict safety program where I work that requires a panel to be de-energized if we are landing a wire on a 20 amp breaker. (Really)
