I was in a church the other day and noticed orange receptacles. Can anyone tell me what the orange color denotes? Thanks

Wouldn't that depend on whether the receptacle is installed ground-up or ground-down?

Orange is color just like white or brown, means nothing, but if it has a triangle then it is an isolated ground. Isolated ground recpts used to be orange but now can be any color with an orange triangle.

Yes as Tom said orange triangle would indicate and IG receptacle. A green dot would indicate hospital grade.

I would agree. Depending on when it was installed it my not have the triangle on it and still been used as an IG recept.
