I am trying to find out what dangers if any of someone deliberately changing a piece of equipment from 50hz to 60 hz and where can I find information on it?

What do you mean by "changing a piece of equipment fro 50Hz to 60Hz"?

Do you mean putting a piece of equipment designed for 50Hz on a 60Hz system?
