Let me start off by saying that I have not really done any electrical work for over five years at this point and even when I did it was mostly residential work. I have been asked to help on a commercial project for my brother and I am more then a little rusty on the designing aspects.

Here is what I know about the job so far, however, nothing is set in stone yet. They basically want to set up a staging area for rental generators. Someplace to provide power to the generators' jacket water heaters, space heaters, etc. while they are waiting to go out to the customer. They want about 14 "bays" with one pole providing power to two bays, so they want seven poles total.

This is all outdoors.
They want six of the poles to have two 50A 240V circuits each
The last pole will have nine 30A 120V circuits
The distance from the panel will range from 10ft to 120ft(which will be the 120V circuits)

My questions are:
What kind and size conduits should we use for underground installation and is 18" deep the correct depth?
What size conductors are required?
Should the connections at the poles have over current protection or is the panel breaker sufficient?

Nightwolf,

I mean this nicely, but I think you are a bit out of your depth as far as experience and I recommend that you bring in a regular electrician/contractor.

I am closing this thread.

Regards,
Derek
