I've got an existing residence that has a 100A 120/240V single phase service. The house is only 1000sq ft and has a load calculation of 58A. There is a 100A 2 pole subfeed tapped off the load side of the socket going out to a detached building. With the old set up no one really knows if the total load ever exceeded 100A(socket ampacity and service conductors to poco's attachment). The new wiring will feed the outbuilding from the new service panel. Where in the load calc would you factor in the outbuilding?

Being fed from a new service panel you'd do a load calc on the outbuilding to determine the minimum size feeder and ocpd, then you'd include the outbuilding loads in the service load calculation.
