How do you know when to use: Weatherproof, Watertight,Raintight and Rainproof? I find this and the NEC Descriptions confusing. I think i have them listed starting with the best-of-the-bunch.(Weatherproof)

Re: Outdoor equiptment

The decision of what to use depends on what the equipment is and the application (where it will be installed). See definitions in Article 100. If you have a specific question please rephrase.

Why do you think Weatherproof is the "best-of-the-bunch" ?

Re: Outdoor equiptment

I would like to rephrase. Where can I find the Specifications that make something: Watertight, Weatherproof, Raintight and Rainproof. The descriptions in 100 are not what I am looking for.
