Is there any nec code violations associated with a raintight enclosure (loadcenter) being bricked in to appear flush mounted? I have a customer with this request. I've seen it done and it is one of the worst looking installs I've ever seen. Not to mention I can see where it could cause problems down the road. I guess what I'm fishing for is more reasons to back up my suggestion not to do this.

I think it's fine. There's nothing that says the equipment needs to be removable. However, I've seen inspectors bulk about it because it will not drain if water does enter. I've seen 320's flush mounted in masonry, with a 3/8 drain hose going to the nearest downspout.
