As the header says, I have a 1000-gallon gasoline storage tank with a 120v dispenser on top; located under a shed with no walls. We hope to use a flexible cable to suspend from the roof, then travel to a further location to plug into a receptacle that will be around 30' away from the dispenser. This way he can plug into a generator to power the dispenser in a power outage.
Per Figure 514.3(B), the Class 1 Division 2 area does not go above the dispenser. Once I am above the dispenser, is this out of any hazardous locations? May I use general field wiring methods in this area?
Thanks :)
