Outdoor Generator Install

I am arranging for an electrician to come and install a 50 amp transfer switch inlet box, 50 amp 2 pole power breakers and interlock. The outdoor service panel is a 40 year old GE Load Service Box TM4222RH. My expectation is that 6 AWG wire will be used between the inlet box and the breaker.
I'm asking these questions so I can appropriately talk with the electrician (brought up with mentality to know the answer before asking the question).
1) Are ordinary circuit breakers used for the connection with the buss bar? I've seen where not all circuit breakers are manufactured for backfeed but no other information.
2) When using the generator with the above items installed, will the generator also power the buss bar that is not connected to the generator with a breaker? It doesn't seem possible to me and I've got to identify specific breakers to swap buss bars locations to power what I need.

I haven't seemed to find the information that covers my two questions.

Thanks for the feedback
Tom

Yes, unless terminals are marked line and/or load. Also, hold-down kit must be used.

I don't understand that question; what other buss bar?. Proper interlock installation is a must.

2) When the interlock is switched to “generator” position, the entire panel is energized from the generator. There is no need to relocate any load breakers.
