An inspector recently told me that an outdoor hot tub must have a general-use receptacle installed between 5' and 10' from the tub, but I was under the impression that the distance should be 10' to 20'. 680.43(A) applies to indoor tubs and says 5' to 10'; 680.42 covers outdoor tubs doesn't address this issue, other than to say that Parts I and II of 680 apply. 680.22(A)(3) is in Part II, and it says 10' to 20'.
