210.52(E)(2) do you need one 1 outdoor receptacle for the unit or for each entrance/egress of the individual unit at grade level.
1 receptacle total
or
1 receptacle for front entrance/egress
1 receptacle for back entrance/egress if applicable

That should've been 210. 52 (E) 2
It's as the building, not each unit. If it's grade level and accessible by others.
You might want to check with your local AHJ to make sure you're both interpreting it the same.
Also 210.63

Look at the conditions of the section 210.52(E)(2).
Are each dwelling unit at grade level?
Do each dwelling unit have it's own exit/entrance? Or just common hall and door? Or is there one common egress and one private exterior egress? Or 2 private exterior egress?
If unit is on grade and has it's own exit/entrance, not a common one, then I would say each door location would have an exterior outlet receptacle(s). Considering one major issue that caused the addition of this requirement was use of holiday lighting and people running cords through windows or doors because no exterior receptacles present.
If not on grade likely 210.52(E)(3) recepticle will be required or come into play. But an emergency fire escape stairs if present, don't believe qualify as a 250.52(E)(3) area.

Another non code consideration for a multifamily dwelling is convenience receptacles strategically placed for building maintenance personnel on grade may be desired. But less of concern with so many cordless tool options available now.

code words it "for each dwelling unit", so i am assuming each unit on grade. It also says provided with "individual exterior entrance/egress" so if it has a front door I assume i need 1 for unit. If you have front door and exit out back/side then it would need one there as well. just trying to clarify.
only catch is that it does not say for each entrance/egress. only states one receptacle outlet readily accessible.

Correct, but that is also why I indicated the background intent/rationale. Also can anything about the either door location that can be seen as a balcony, deck or porch? If so then both might still need to have a receptacle.
