I'm installing a 100A sub panel away from the primary panel. I will need to erect a structure to support the outdoor panel. What are the requirements for such a structure. I have seen it as simple as a 4x4 post sticking out of the ground, with the panel mounted to it.

I was thinking about using this: http://www.lowes.com/ProductDisplay...&catalogId=10051&productId=3651840&cId=detail
It provides weather protection, is cheap, I don't have to build it, will last 10+ years, is electrically insulated. I would screw a sheet of plywood on the back wall and mount the panel to the plywood.
