I am replacing existing payphones with Gai-tronics phones and need to know the grounding requirements. We have existing cable from Telephone Company interface. Do we need to drive ground rod at phone location? Payphone is over 500' away from building. Also is the lightning protection at the Telephone Company interface the only protection needed?
