Outdoor surface mount fixture on a raised box?

I am installing some 120v lighting to an outdoor deck and pergola. I will (obviously) run everything for wet locations THWN/raceway/boxes/fixtures all outdoor listed.

I want to put up some fixtures on the vertical posts of the pergola, I intend to go up the back of the post with conduit (rigid NM PVC) and 90 through the post into a round lighting box mounted on the front surface of the post.

I want to use fixtures like the type used by the front door of a house (wall mount), but all the fixtures I can find are for flush wall mounting with a recessed box (the fixture is oversized to rest/seal on the siding of a structure). Since I am mounting to a 4x4 post, recessing the box isn't really an option. I know that there are some floodlights that mount to a raised box, but that isn't what we're looking for. I can't be the first person to want to do this, so I am sure there exists some sort of box adapter or other solution to allow the use of a standard wall mount fixture on a raised box, I just can't find one.

Any thoughts are appreciated.
