Outdoor track lighting?

I am talking to a customer that wants to move her ceiling fan and her track lighting from indoors to a outside patio area with roof overhang. I found fairly easy that the ceiling fan was not permitted to be installed in that location because it is not rated for wet locations, but am not sure about the track lighting. I would assume it to be the same, but can't verify it. I could be wrong too.

You need to find a part (model) number and find the spec sheet.

Might be best to just sell her some new stuff. Last thing you need is to work on the cheap to move some used stuff and have her calling you back on warranty work. Tell her if she uses used stuff you'll have to charge more up front because you know you'll be coming back when it doesn't work. If the price is the same she can enjoy new stuff.

Why would the patio be considered wet location?
Location, Damp. Locations protected from weather and
not subject to saturation with water or other liquids but
subject to moderate degrees of moisture. Examples of
such locations include partially protected locations under
canopies, marquees, roofed open porches, and like
locations, and interior locations subject to moderate
degrees of moisture, such as some basements, some barns,
and some cold-storage warehouses.

Location, Wet. Installations underground or in concrete
slabs or masonry in direct contact with the earth; in
locations subject to saturation with water or other liquids,
such as vehicle washing areas; and in unprotected
locations exposed to weather.

I don't know of any tracks listed for wet or damp location and art. 410.151 says no

410.151(C) Locations Not Permitted. Lighting track shall not be
installed in the following locations:
(1) Where likely to be subjected to physical damage
(2) In wet or damp locations
(3) Where subject to corrosive vapors
(4) In storage battery rooms
(5) In hazardous (classified) locations
(6) Where concealed
(7) Where extended through walls or partitions
(8) Less than 1.5 m (5 ft) above the finished floor except
where protected from physical damage or track operating
at less than 30 volts rms open-circuit voltage
(9) Where prohibited by 410.10(D)
