Hi, we are working on an apartment building and the owner on one of the units says he won't receive it until all outlets and light switches are indentified with the circuit numbers it is connected to. I don't believe there ir any requirement on that per NEC and I found nothing on Articles 110, 404 or 406. Is there any other article I am missing?
Thanks!

Unless it is a project specification, the receptacles and the switches do not have to be identified as to which circuits feeds them. As long as there is a panel circuit directory you are NEC compliant.

Thanks! That's what I thought, just wanted to make sure!

To put a finer point on it, if he's making you label the switches and receptacles, that is an extra you should be charging him for.
