Outlet box/pendant hanger

Is a outlet box for a luminaire pendent hanger required to have the cubic in labeled… note I am using a Eaton alc22

I wouldn't think so. It does need to meet the requirements for pendants.

I am being told that It does per artical 314.16…but the manufacturer is telling me that a outlet box is not required to have the marking

Outlet boxes are not required to be labeled with their cubic inch volume. If they are you can use that number instead of what's listed in the box fill table in Article 314.

The outlet box we are using is not listed in the box fill table. We are using an Eaton alc22 that doubles as an outlet box and pendent luminaries hanger
