outlet inside of bath vanity drawer

My customer wants an outlet inside a bath vanity drawer. 10 years ago I installed one using SO cord between the drawer outlet and the outlet behind in the wall, and it seemed to meet code and have never had a call back. But this time, I'm having some trouble with the cord getting in the way of the drawer below this drawer. I have seen on line a device (folding arm) but expensive. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Depending on the countertop material we have actually mounted a wiremold box to the countertop facing down into the draw. That worked well
