outlet on parking lot light

Can I install a outlet (gfci) on a parking lot light pole. We would use it only for hoilday lighting and are parking lot lights are 120v. Our poles are square and the installation would be according to 406.8 wet locations. Thank you.

California is a licensed state. It would probably be a good idea to contact your licensed EC and ask him this question.

I am a 8 year journeyman with a state certified apprenticeship, but it was mostly commercial work in our refineries and power plants. I am now older and took a job as a maintenance supervisor and in ca. if you do not mainly perform electrical work as your primary job you do not have to be licensed. So if my question cannot be answered just let me know. Thank you.
