Would and outlet that is installed under an counter top overhang but close enough to the front of the cabinet such that the cord plugged in would be less than 12" to the top of the counter top edge satisfy 210.52C3?
Technically the outlet would be less than 6" from the edge of the counter top in the x direction.. but in the y direction would be greater 6".

The only other spots where there are no overhang have door and drawer false fronts which would not be ideal for an outlet.

Thanks,

Jim

I think you meant 210.52(C)(5), not C3. In any event, this Forum is intended to assist professional electricians, inspectors, engineers, and other members of the electrical industry in the performance of their job-related tasks. However, if you are not an electrician or an electrical contractor, then we are not permitted to help you perform your own electrical installation work. So under the presumption that this thread is about what you describe in your profile as "home wiring," I am going to close it. Feel free to PM me, if you think I have misinterpreted the situation.

That said, I would still encourage you to stick around. This Forum has much to offer. But please restrict your questions to issues related to your profession, and do not bring home wiring issues into this forum.
