I just answered a generator question
We install a receptacle at a outlet.
And an inlet at an outlet for a generator.
Years ago inlets were not common, used to see dryer recpt for generator connections. Much easier now with the L14-30 devices.

I know this is a little off topic but wondering and can’t figure out in my head, when sizingfor a genset, say for example a water heater 4,500watts. Do you add listed watt, or also consider in 125% for continuous load? I know to add the 125% for sizing branch circuit wiring and OCPD but what about for a feeders or sizing genset?
