Per 680.22 (A) (2) all receptacles should be at a distance exceeding 6ft from inside walls of pool. Architect has designed a "pool bar" where drinks are served for people sitting inside the pool and prepared (mixer, others) in a counter just adjacent to the pool. How can this be designed if all the preparation area is within the 6ft perimeter? I have seen this type of "pool bar" before, but I have no idea of how the comply with this article.

If the receptacle is located outside the 6' then it would comply but remember how the measurement is done

680.22(A)(5) Measurements. In determining the dimensions in this
section addressing receptacle spacings, the distance to be
measured shall be the shortest path the supply cord of an
appliance connected to the receptacle would follow without
piercing a floor, wall, ceiling, doorway with hinged or sliding
door, window opening, or other effective permanent
barrier.
